Staff & payroll

Staff records, qualifications, leave balances and monthly payroll in one file.

What you get
  • Leave requests and approvals against a balance, not a paper slip
  • Payroll runs generate payslips from the same staff record
  • Role-based access down to the module — a subject teacher sees only their classes

Staff records and monthly payroll in one file, so the person being paid and the person on the timetable are the same record rather than two lists that drift apart over a year.

The service record

Qualifications, designation, date of birth and blood group, permanent and current address, emergency contact, Aadhaar and PAN. Leave balances sit against the same record, so an approval is made with the balance in view.

Salary as a structure, not a number

Pay is built from components assembled into a structure, so an increment or a new allowance is a change to the structure rather than a rewritten figure for each person. A payroll run then applies it across the month.

Leaving properly

An exit records whether it was a resignation, a termination or retirement, with pending salary, PF settlement and gratuity captured against it — the figures a full and final settlement is built from.

Questions

What schools ask about staff & payroll

Does it file EPF and ESI returns?

Not today. Salary structures, payroll runs and settlement figures are held, but Edmingo does not yet generate EPF ECR files, ESI challans or TDS returns. Those are prepared outside the system.

Can teachers see each other's pay?

No. Payroll is limited by role, so a teacher sees their own record and not the staff room's.

Is staff attendance separate from student attendance?

Yes. Staff attendance is marked and held separately, and feeds leave balances rather than the class register.
