Transport

Routes, stops and pickup times, with students allocated and fees carried through.

What you get
  • Routes with stops and timings, and the students allocated to each
  • Vehicle and driver records with document expiry, so a lapsed fitness is visible
  • Transport fees billed with tuition rather than collected separately

Routes, stops and pickup times, with students allocated to them and the fee carried through to the invoice automatically. Vehicles and drivers are recorded with the compliance details a school is asked for after an incident, not before one.

The route decides the bill

A student allocated to a stop is billed for that stop. The transport fee is not a separate register kept by the office in a notebook and reconciled at the end of term.

The vehicle file

Registration, type, make and model, seating capacity, chassis and engine numbers, and the safety fittings a school bus is required to carry — GPS, CCTV, speed governor, first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher with its expiry date. Documents are held against the vehicle.

Drivers and conductors

Driver records carry the details a parent would expect a school to hold — identity, verified mobile, and the people responsible for a route.

Questions

What schools ask about transport

Does it show buses on a live map?

Not today. Vehicles record whether GPS is fitted and its device identifier, and stops carry coordinates, but live tracking and geofenced alerts are not available yet.

What if a student uses the bus only one way?

Allocation reflects what the student actually uses, and the fee follows the allocation.

Can we track document expiry for a vehicle?

Documents are held against the vehicle, and dated items such as a fire extinguisher expiry are recorded as dates rather than as notes.
